GM300 Series Gaussmeter Family
The GM330 is AlphaLab’s top-of-the-line magnetometer and the successor to our popular GM2/GM3. It’s a laboratory-class instrument that measures both AC and DC magnetic fields across an exceptionally wide dynamic range—from a maximum of 30,000 gauss down to 0.1 gauss resolution with an ST probe. It reads DC field, AC field, and peak field, with a fast 2-millisecond peak-hold that captures brief transients most meters miss. A configurable alarm sounds when the field exceeds a threshold or falls between two limits you set, making it well suited to scanning parts for residual magnetism or checking magnets against spec.
Where the GM330 pulls decisively ahead is measurement and data. It accepts true 3-axis probes, reading all three field components at once and reporting total magnitude regardless of how the probe is oriented—no aligning the sensor to chase the field. Its data recording and streaming are far more capable as well, with AC capture up to 2 kHz for logging fast-changing fields and waveforms the GM2 couldn’t follow. For R&D and QC work that depends on capturing what the field is actually doing over time, this is the upgrade that matters.
The meter automatically detects its probe, and a full range of interchangeable probes is available in 3-axis and single-axis variants with multiple tip shapes—so the GM330 adapts to everything from strong permanent magnets to fine, low-field work. Every GM330 ships ready to use with one probe of your choice, a USB cable for data logging and power, an analog output jack, and a NIST-traceable calibration certificate.
It’s a practical, fast, intuitive instrument for R&D, manufacturing QC, and aerospace applications. Choose your included probe as you configure the meter, then add additional probes and accessories below to complete your setup.
